Help us build a smarter way to grow.
A Caribbean-born idea for making growing food easier, more intelligent, and more resilient.
Growing food should not require becoming an expert first. For many people, the desire is already there. They want fresh herbs at home. They want peppers, vegetables, and food plants around their families. Schools want gardens students can learn from. Restaurants and hotels want productive growing spaces. Farmers and plant enthusiasts want better information about what is happening around their plants.
The difficulty is often keeping everything working: knowing when to water, understanding why leaves are changing, deciding what to plant, maintaining the garden while away, and expanding without making the system unnecessarily complicated.
From a plant pot to an intelligent growing system
TropiGrow combines practical growing knowledge with automation, plant records, intelligent guidance, and connected hardware. A garden can begin with only a few plants and scheduled watering, then become smarter as sensors, plant profiles, Plant Doctor, and automation are introduced.
The technology serves the garden
The goal is not technology for technology's sake. The goal is a growing environment that increasingly understands its operating conditions and helps the person responsible for it make better decisions.
Why build this in the Caribbean?
Tropical growing conditions, water management, intense sunlight, home food production, schools, hospitality, farms, and limited growing spaces create a valuable real-world environment in which to develop and validate smarter growing systems.
Caribbean roots. Global potential.
TropiGrow is developing an installation-supported Caribbean smart garden pathway alongside a DIY self-install pathway for the United States and Canada. What works here can become useful far beyond here.
We are at the stage where participation matters.
TropiGrow is deliberately moving through testing, learning, and improvement rather than presenting experimental hardware as a finished mass-market product.
That means validating hardware and watering systems, improving installation procedures, learning from real plants in real environments, refining Plant Doctor, improving beginner guidance, testing packaging and future shipping, documenting failures as well as successes, and building the operational knowledge required to create something people can depend on.
What does supporting TropiGrow help us build?
- Prototype controllers, sensors, and irrigation equipment
- Solar Garden Kit development and field validation
- Caribbean pilot installations
- Plant, watering, and automation trials
- Installation and maintenance documentation
- Safety and reliability testing
- Educational and demonstration material
- Packaging and DIY-kit development
- U.S. and Canadian launch preparation
- Research and data infrastructure for future improvement
There is more than one way to participate.
What we are really trying to build
The long-term opportunity is larger than an automatic watering system. Imagine gardens, farms, classrooms, and growing spaces becoming easier to operate because their owners have better information.
Imagine a student learning why a plant needs water rather than simply being told to water it. Imagine a household maintaining food plants even when everyone is busy. Imagine a restaurant growing part of its own herbs with an intelligent system helping staff manage them.
Imagine Caribbean horticultural knowledge being strengthened by real field observations and used to improve the next generation of growing systems.
One plant becomes a garden.
One garden becomes knowledge.
Knowledge makes the next garden better.
TropiGrow is still being built, tested, and improved. That is precisely why this is an important time to become involved.
We are looking for the people who want to be among the first to grow with us, test with us, research with us, partner with us, and help turn a Caribbean-born idea into a practical platform for smarter growing.
