Name, email, phone or messaging handle, Telegram account identifiers, support requests, account preferences, pilot or waitlist interest, and related correspondence.
Installation and site data
General location, garden type, deployment notes, installation requirements, sunlight and water-source details, equipment configuration, and site-access information needed for support.
Sensor data
Soil moisture, temperature, humidity, device status, sensor history, calibration signals, and other environmental readings from connected or pilot devices.
Irrigation and device data
Watering schedules, manual watering commands, pump or valve status, maintenance logs, device telemetry, error reports, and security or troubleshooting events.
Plant Doctor guidance data
Plant profile details, symptoms, user-provided plant notes, diagnosis requests, advisory outputs, image-derived plant-health metadata, and sensor context used to provide guidance.
AI-camera and image data
Uploaded plant images, camera captures where enabled, image metadata, cropped plant images, model outputs, and plant-health classifications, subject to heightened safeguards.
Support and payment metadata
Support contribution metadata, selected display currency, payment status, transaction references, and support messages. TropiGrow should not store full card details.
Usage and analytics data
Page visits, feature interactions, Mini App state, diagnostic events, logs, and performance data used to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
How TropiGrow May Use Data
- Provide, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve TropiGrow services and pilot deployments.
- Provide Plant Doctor guidance and garden-support recommendations. Plant Doctor guidance is advisory and is not a guaranteed diagnosis.
- Operate sensor, irrigation, device, support, analytics, and customer communications workflows.
- Develop the TropiGrow Intelligence Layer and improve product reliability, field readiness, and user experience.
- Use anonymized, aggregated, or derived non-identifiable data for product improvement, research, analytics, reports, dashboards, and commercial intelligence products where lawful.
- Support approved researchers, institutional partners, sponsored field trials, and commercial partners only through governed access, consent where required, and written agreement where applicable.
Research, Analytics, and Commercial Insight Use
TropiGrow may use anonymized, aggregated, or derived non-identifiable data for research and analytics, including reports, dashboards, field-trial summaries, horticulture benchmarks, climate-smart agriculture analysis, water-use indicators, and commercial intelligence products. These uses should be structured to avoid identifying individual customers, households, workers, visitors, or specific private sites.
TropiGrow should not sell personally identifiable customer data. Commercial opportunities should focus on anonymized, aggregated, derived, consent-based, or contract-governed datasets and insights.
Third Parties, Researchers, and Partners
- Third-party service providers may help host, process, secure, analyze, communicate, or support TropiGrow services under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing controls.
- Researchers and institutional partners may receive governed access to approved datasets only where lawful, subject to consent where required, and subject to written agreement.
- Commercial partners may receive reports, dashboards, or commercial intelligence products based on anonymized, aggregated, or derived non-identifiable data unless separate consent and written agreements allow another form of access.
- Raw AI-camera footage should not be shared with researchers or commercial partners without specific consent, safeguards, and written approval.
AI-Camera Safeguards
AI-camera data is higher-risk because raw images or footage may accidentally capture people, children, workers, neighbours, property, addresses, license plates, or other identifiable site features. Where possible, TropiGrow should use cropped plant images, plant-health metadata, model outputs, or aggregated insights instead of raw footage.
Cross-Border Handling, Security, and Retention
TropiGrow may process data across borders where lawful, including through cloud, analytics, support, payment, communications, and research infrastructure. TropiGrow should use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data type, including additional protections for AI-camera, identifiable, site-specific, and payment-related metadata.
TropiGrow retains data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, improve products, conduct governed research, satisfy legal or contractual duties, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods may vary by data category, pilot terms, consent status, research agreement, and legal requirement.
User Choices and Optional Consent
- Some operational data is required to use TropiGrow because it is needed to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the system.
- Users should be able to decline optional research participation, public recognition, identifiable data sharing, sponsored trials, and AI-camera research use without losing access to the core service, unless a specific pilot programme requires different written terms.
- Users may withdraw optional consent by contacting TropiGrow. Withdrawal will apply prospectively where practical and may be subject to legal, contractual, safety, archival, or already-anonymized research limitations.
- Privacy requests, access requests, correction requests, deletion requests, objection requests, or consent-withdrawal requests may be sent to [email protected].
